It's time for Easter Basket Brigade!
Community Unity churches are collecting donations that will be distributed to approximately 225 families in Halton Hills on Saturday, March 28th. Each recipient family is given a bag of fresh food (usually a ham and assorted fruits and veggies) and one Easter greeting card that contains 2 - $50 gift cards.
We would love for everyone who calls GCF home to contribute to this effort in whatever way you're able, whether that's volunteering your time (to volunteer for packing and delivering, see the March 28th calendar entry) or choosing from whichever option below best suits your budget. There will be a box on the welcome table in the lobby throughout the month of March for the collection of greeting cards and grocery gift cards.
All donations must be received by SUNDAY MARCH 22nd.
OPTION 1:
Your family buys & signs one Easter greeting card and adds one or two $50 grocery gift cards (keep the greeting card envelope UNSEALED)
OPTION 2:
Do one of those two things:
- buy & sign an Easter greeting card or a whole box of Easter greeting cards! (keep envelopes UNSEALED)
- buy and bring in one or more $50 grocery gift cards
OPTION 3:
If spending $50+ is outside of your budget, give what you're able as a donation designated to the LOVE fund and Monica will use the pooled funds to purchase as many $50 gift cards as possible.
Note: it's not so easy to walk into a store and buy more than 10 gift cards at once...especially when all the churches in town are doing the same thing! If you intend to give $50 or $100 or more, please purchase your gift card(s) next time you're shopping and bringing them in on a Sunday. Or donate sooner in March so we can spread out our purchases! Thank you.
