Anvil is forging Godly men! They meet at the church on Thursday evenings at 6:45pm. They also attend special events such as retreats and conferences together throughout the year. 

Our next big event is the Halton Hills Car Rally on July 19th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Here are some FAQs for you:

1. What is this Car Rally about?
Think of this car rally as a  treasure hunt type activity around Halton Hills which will be a fun and interactive driving event where participants follow clues and solve riddles that lead them to various checkpoints around Halton Hills. It’s not a race—it's all about teamwork, creativity, and having fun while supporting a great cause!

2. Who can participate?
Anyone with a valid driver’s license and a vehicle can join. Families, friends, and co-workers are all welcome—each car is considered one team.

3. How many people can be on a team?
There is no strict limit, but we recommend 2–5 people per vehicle for comfort and optimal teamwork.

4. How do I register?
Use this form to register online. Registration is required in advance for all drivers.

5. Is there a cost to participate?
There is a registration fee of $20 per car; also dry food donations are encouraged. All proceeds will go to the Georgetown Bread Basket .

6. What should I bring?

  • A smartphone or GPS (to help with clues)

  • A pen and notepad

  • Water and snacks

  • Your sense of adventure!

7. What is the event schedule?

  • 9:30 AM: Check-in begins at GCF Church

  • 10:00 AM: Rally starts

  • 12 noon : Rally ends 

  • 12 - 1 pm : Prizes , closing events . 

8. Are there prizes?
Yes ! Prizes will be awarded for top teams who complete the rally with the best score/time. Judges decision will be final.

9. Will there be food?
Yes, food will be available at the end of the rally for a donation. All proceeds will go to the Georgetown Food Basket.

10. What happens in case of bad weather?
The event will run as weather permits and will be postponed to a future date.

11. Is this event family-friendly?
Absolutely! The rally is designed to be safe, fun, and engaging for all ages.

13. Do I need to know the area well to participate?
Not at all! Clues are designed to be solvable whether you're a local or a visitor. A smartphone and a team effort go a long way.

14. Can I participate on a motorcycle or bicycle?
This event is ideally designed for vehicles or motorcylcles due to the time it will take to get all the clues. Bicycles are not recommended for this format.

15. Is there a time limit to complete the rally?
Yes, the rally itself will end at 12 noon . Teams that return late may not be eligible for prizes.

16. Will photos or videos be taken during the event?
Yes, photos may be taken and shared on social media or promotional material. Let us know at check-in if you’d prefer not to be included.

17. Can we decorate our cars?
Absolutely! Creativity is encouraged—there may even be a prize for best-decorated vehicle.

18. Is there a waiver or anything I need to sign?
Yes, a standard waiver will need to be signed at registration for participation and insurance purposes, so each participating adult will need to register themselves using the form linked above.

19. Can we participate if we don’t have a smartphone?                                                                    Yes, but we highly recommend having at least one smartphone with internet access per team for ease in navigating and solving certain clues.

20. What kind of challenges can we expect?
Expect a mix of puzzles, riddles, visual clues, location-based trivia, and small fun tasks at certain checkpoints. No physical challenges or anything too difficult—just smart fun!

21. Is this a speed-based competition?
No! This is not a race. In fact, driving safely and obeying all traffic laws is mandatory. The rally is scored on accuracy, completion, and sometimes creativity—not speed.

22. What if we get stuck on a clue?
Each team will receive a limited number of hint options they can use throughout the event.  If stuck on a clue you can go on to the next one.

23. Is the event accessible for people with mobility challenges?
The rally is vehicle-based, and most tasks can be done without leaving your car or with minimal walking. 

24. Will there be restrooms available along the route?
Some checkpoints will close to public locations with facilities. We also recommend planning ahead before you start.

25. Can kids participate?
Yes! Kids are welcome and often great clue-solvers. Just be sure to have proper car seats if required and a responsible adult driving.

26. Will we know our route ahead of time?
Nope! That’s part of the adventure. The first clue will get you started, and you’ll uncover your path as you solve each challenge.

27. Can we join late or leave early?
Unfortunately, no. To keep things fair and safe, all teams must start together and aim to finish by 12 noon.

28. Can we sponsor or donate to support the event?                                                                     Yes! We welcome community sponsors and donors. Please contact Art directly ( 647-241-9196 ) if you're interested in donating. Donors will receive charitable tax receipts.

29. What happens at the finish line?                                                                                                              At the end of the rally, teams will gather back at GCF Church for food, prize announcements, and a quick celebration wrap-up.
